Updated October 14, 2026. The February 8, 2021 publication was titled “130% by New Hope INSIDE.” The figure is retained as a historical claim by the publisher. The original text did not disclose the calculation period, starting capital or complete transaction history; this page does not independently verify the result. The original New Hope INSIDE video remains part of the archive.
Start with the denominator
A percentage cannot be evaluated without knowing its base. It might describe profit relative to the initial deposit, growth over a selected part of the balance chart, or a monitoring service's metric with its own calculation rules. Record the field name, formula and reporting dates. If only a number is shown, request the missing conditions instead of inferring them from an attractive graph.
Keep the return on one trade, growth of one account and combined results from several accounts separate. All three could carry a “130%” label while answering different questions. Deposits, withdrawals and account credit also need attention: they change available capital but are not ordinary trading profit.
Balance and equity can tell different stories
Consider a hypothetical example, not a reconstruction of the archived account. Starting capital is 10,000 currency units. Closed trades bring the balance to 23,000, while open positions carry a floating loss of 4,000. With no deposits, withdrawals, credit or other adjustments, equity is 19,000. Balance growth is 130%; equity growth relative to the starting amount is 90%.
Both calculations are arithmetically correct, but they describe different conditions. An open loss remains part of account risk even before it appears in closed-trade history. Our guide to balance and equity in trading bots explains how to reconcile the two.
Collect the evidence behind the percentage
The start and end dates, time zone and account currency.
Opening balance and equity, deposits, withdrawals and other non-trading adjustments.
Closed transactions with commissions and position-carrying charges.
Open positions valued at the same timestamp as the report.
Drawdown during the period, rather than just the final chart point.
Use matching records. A balance screenshot from Friday and an equity value from Monday do not form a precise snapshot of one account. The MetaTrader 5 report documentation presents balance and equity separately; check the relevant documentation before applying another service's definitions.
Write a useful viewing note
Divide your note into “claim,” “supporting files” and “unknowns.” Leave an unknown blank instead of supplying a plausible answer. Without the open-position export, for example, you may be unable to reconstruct equity at the selected moment. That is a more accurate conclusion than automatically accepting or rejecting the percentage.
Next, inspect the distribution of wins and losses using profit factor and trade composition. A historical percentage does not establish the next period's return. If you are considering today's product, assess it separately against the current NH PRO page: the INSIDE archive is not a substitute for present specifications or purchase terms.
